Less than a year ago, £3.65. Really? Doesn't surprise me. That's pretty grim beer in my estimation, but it's £3.85 on Tesco's website. https://www.tesco.com/groceries/en-GB/products/265261987

I usually do all the food shopping. She evidently never pays attention to any of the receipts or anything. A couple of months ago she had to go and buy some Champagne. It was only then she noticed how much it had gone up in price (as well as everything else). That's privilege for you! I have a new method of controlling Mrs NoTailT at Tesco. Rather than sending her with the card, I buy Tesco gift cards online and tell her to use them instead. Caps the budget and it’s down to her to keep to it. Which after she’s bought ten bottles of wine I usually end up having to buy stuff midweek, it’s relatively flawed plan but it makes me feel like it’s sort of working. A hundred pound gift card costs me £96, so if we do that for each weekly shop it’s a decent saving over a year.

Well each gender has its strength and weaknesses. ‘‘Twas always thus.” Thats why by and large we get along together. Non-Believer
Word around the Jewel of the North is that "Conrods" is to be taken over by the operators of the Ramsey Swimming Pool Cafe, albeit to be confirmed.

Well if true that is to be welcomed. They have made a good job of catering at the swimming pool

It is only on certain items and even then at the same time customers read that and get misled many, many of those items are on very good promotions at Tesco. They do say 'Normal Tesco prices' but that is for legal reasons presumably. And never do I see promotions like that on those goods at Shoprite Edited February 2, 2023 by Cassie2
