The house or picture is unneeded?

I ask myself regularly whether the Missus is needed.

She asked me to make a cup of tea the other day and I told her to wait a minute whilst I replied to @offshoremanxman. She now thinks I have a gay escort on the go.

Also, its Feltons!

I think I have a dozen Feltons pens in the fruit bowl. No actual fruit.

I haven't been to Ramsey since August. I did an emergency chimney repair in some shocking conditions one year, even just getting there was bad enough, nowadays I will only go there if the weather is good.

How long does it take on the bus from down south to Ramsey? Must be 90 minutes? 2hrs? Connection via Douglas?

I avoid going to dinner in Ramsey now because the drive back down south is tiring.

I think that says more about you than Ramsey to be honest.

Plenty of shops to mooch around and several places to get good food and drink all within a few hundred yards, and with ample free car parking.

Correction

The are few rather dismal shops to mooch around and no places to get good food and drink all within a few hundred yards, and with empty car parks

Correction.

There are wonderful beaches where you can go for a walk and shed some lard, there's a nice little hill with a tower you can walk up, and there's the MER station where you can embark on arguably the most scenic ride in the British Isles.

I don't disagree with those comments at all. The beaches are great, The scenery is great. However last time we visited (last October) the shops were awful and we couldn't find a decent place to eat. The Golden Phoenix doesn't do it for us anymore. Velikas is ok but not worth travelling from dirty stinking Douglas

Loved Jean Pierres. But thats long gone.

Jean Pierre’s has been replaced by a superb restaurant.

Good stuff is very good.

Harbour View Bistro serves some of the best food on the Island.

The Mitre does great lunches.

The mini cafe (might not be its actual name) is also very good and open in the evenings.  Gophers is very good.

All within a two minute walk. If you want to venture further then the swimming pool cafe is really good, as is Velikas. The Swan might be brewery, but I’d the best brewery pub for food and service on the island in our opinion.

The Other place is also very good, but the service can be interesting
