“Delicious “ was a misrepresentation

They were great ! I miss them ! Sounds like you are in need of a good Keilbasa inside you.

It's a sausage. Inna bun. So it's not going to be Lobster Thermidor, but Dibbler's Dogs were really good, with a good range of pork products (or by-products).

A few years ago there was a firm that tried to put together an e-identity wallet for the Isle.  All your ID documents etc would have been also digitized and it would have allowed e-signature as standard.  The Island they thought due to it's size, active business sectors and 'flexible and pro-active Govt' would have been an ideal test-bed.  Then they had to deal with the FSA who were obstructive in the extreme.

e-Habitant?

The idea got a load of stick on the local messageboards. I didn't even have a mobile phone at the time although I had a desktop and printer at home but I was the only one in our street who did.

e-Habitant or whatever it was called was  at least a decade in front of its time. It was groundbreaking stuff but most folk laughed at the idea because they knew best of course.

Yep, it was around 2021 so way ahead of it's time.  I had a dig recently, as I didn't use it and it was a couple of years before I came back to the Island, I just remembered hearing about it somewhere.

Probably would be a good time to try and bring back something similar.

Progress on the New Boutique Hotel and wine bar in Castletown as the scaffolding comes down.

Also down South, had a cracking carvery in the refurbed Falcons Nest on Sunday.

There are plenty of good news stories as well if you look for them.

It was launched on 8 November 2001.

Some quite nice development of properties in Ctown recently actually.  That tourist rental, Admiral's something next to the Harbour looks really good too.

It’s all the same people. The ones who own Kizuna and already operate several self catering properties around Parliament Square and the Quay. The police station is to be the check in/reception office for the all the accommodation side.

Last time we went to the falcons nest it was like queuing for school dinner just with old folk instead of school kids. The food was excellent though and great value.
