Anyone know if PSM golf pavilion has new tenants yet? Closed 3/4 months ago with PSM commissioners supposedly seeking new tenants.

Al long as they don't employ that weird long haired aging guy who wore leggings and couldn't cook meat, I will be happy 😁

That guy is the father of the previous lady who ran the Pavillion now a psm walk in commissioner and part of the family who bought and are developing the Manxonia site. I believe the PSM commissioners are totally unrealistic in there rent aspersions and I’d guess it’ll remain empty for a good while and as that rent is earned income to the commissioners, the ratepayers will have to pick up the slack. The PSM board from feedback I hear have one maybe 2 decent members the rest are very poor.

I hope the two ladies on Manx Radio got their visit in before it closed. Otherwise their trip to the gym to compensate for eating the goodies on offer would have been needless.

The Precinct looks totally dead most days unfortunately. It must be hard to keep trade in such an underutilized shopping area.

Because there are precious few actual shops there.  Shame, would be nice to have a proper shopping precinct around.

Who goes to Onchan to shop? It was never popular even when it was trying its hardest.

From what I hear the rents asked for were unrealistic.

Yes, I get that and it is probably as much to do with changing retail trends.  I can remember in the late-70s it had a reasonable selection of shops, but now it is more like a mini-medical hub with a couple of tenacious specialist shops and takeaways.

Same all over the Island.  Greedy landlords.

You are right in some respect but landlords are usually getting their rental figures from estate agents, and as I’ve said previously, some are good, some are bad, some lazy and others greedy.

IOMG forever dick waving and telling everyone that the economy is permanently booming certainly doesn’t help.

Try to get a rental though. It’s demand and supply that’s setting the price rather than the landlords specifically. You can fill a vacancy in 24 hours at the moment. One estate agent has no stock at all and is constantly advertising on Facebook for anyone with vacant property as they don’t have anything on their books to meet customer demand.
