Hope Street, King Street, Waverley, Onchan chippy, sadly all now just memories

Terrace chippy always seems busy but £10 for fish & chips & €1.50 for mushy peas is a bit much! Bathurst street chippy shut last night when 100s walking by after spitfire event so everyone including us went to terrace! Too busy in town to get in anywhere

Agreed. Picking out the tiny proportion of bad press from an ineffectual business is not doing any favours to the rest of those who work hard and experience success.

Well it was also VIBE - who seem to run fairly well. And it's a valid complaint that for motorsport periods business empties out in the street etc.

Barbary coast and just pasta and pizza nearby are packed every day.

Serve what people want and you will be busy.  Don’t and you won’t.

There is loads of footfall on the quay in the evenings.  Are vine open with signage advising the potential customers walking yards from their door where they are and what they sell?  No

Of course, they’d be even fuller (SRO?) if DBC hadn’t “ruined” the North Quay with their road closure shenanigans.  Footfall (ie, people walking past) would be MUCH higher if they could drive past in their cars…wouldn’t it? 🤔

Typical DBC, useless…

Bourne place Ramsey. Lunchtime special. Small fish, small chips and sommat moist (gravy, peas, curry sauce or beans) £6.00 Or two sausages and the accompaniments £5.50. Either will fill you up unless you’re Desperate Dan

Bargain (prices correct as of last week)

Bathurst seem to spend more time on social media than been open, went to try it a few times and been closed

Maybe 60-year-old bikers are not the right demographic for a Tofu and Quinoa salad?

Bacon sarnie and a mug of tea? Probably.

But outside of those times/offers, @ £10+ is the going rate now for take out fish and chips anywhere, Bourne Plaice nor the Trawlerman any exception.

Maybe the owner has learned about competitive pricing following his laughable complaint at TT that the Ramsey Sprint hurt his takings “stop attracting people to the town where my business is”.

He’s also Ramsey Commissioner - ARRRRFFFFFFF

We just considered Vibe for Bank Holiday lunch as we like to support places.

They are closed

Had a walk down Ridgeway St this morning. Passed VIbe. Wouldn't have known it was a restaurant. It looks like a florists. Plants and shrubs completely cover the front and much of the pavement plus an old bike that seems to be the centrepiece of this green display

I realise it sells plant based food but really this just looks ridiculous.

I can fully understand why no one goes in. 🤣
