A good question @Jarndyce  I suppose I have heard so many stories that I was looking for an angle. Had I been conned?

I know how devious and convincing some drug addicts can be. The need for speed and heroin and I suppose coke these days, can apparently trigger creative well honed acting skills.

If the chance arises, I will enquire more. It may cost me a pack of sarnies and some pop though.

I haven't come across the beggar in a wheelchair again (mentioned previously). Maybe he looked into doing wheelchair sport as discussed (Leeds has a nearby arena that specialises in this), or maybe he managed to chuck himself and his wheelchair over a bridge and successfully end his life this time.

I’d give anything not to see the steaming guys videos on Facebook.

It’s actually stopped me going there, if he could just tone it down a bit the videos would be a lot more palatable, it’s just all the jumping with excitement like a little puppy I find too much, toxic positivity is the new name for it I believe.

Fully agree, way over the top and if anything puts me off going in there now.

place always seems quiet when passing which is a shame as food was decent, although chip shops prices are extortionate now with all rising costs they facing

I used to live in Leeds. The Three Legs is alright, but I'd suggest you go a bit further along and then down Briggate. One of the lanes on the right just before the bottom contains Whitelocks, an absolutely superb pub and a proper slice of history - it's over 300 years old.

One of my locals when I lived in Leeds around 1976 time.. Absolutely loved it. It's good to see, looking at the photos that it hasn't changed much. Perhaps a bit (lot) cleaner. Good too the see the side serving hatch still in place. Thanks for sharing.
