jackwhite
Robinsons have bought Ross Bakery. Bigger bakery already being built from what I've heard. Interesting to see how it affects Noa. 2

2112
Personally I don’t eat Ross and Noa products, due to weight management. Both are not cheap products, and now Robinsons have acquired the brand, I can’t imagine the products are going to be any cheaper.

NOA ditched a lot of independents last year to focus more on Shoprite, this may bite them in the arse now Edited October 26, 2023 by Manxman1234
jackwhite
I actually thought it would have made sense for Noa to buy it but I'd guess they're likely stretched as it is from a capital perspective with what they've taken on recently. The obvious other thing would be staffing. Ross likely have their staff that will stay on (and good if they have) but Noa have had issues getting enough cover as it is for what they have. Amadeus
Noa products are nice but bloody expensive. It’s the occasional indulgence now, but not a regular purchase. Over 3 quid for one almond croissant is nuts.

Ringy Rose
I wonder if Ross, with a bigger bakery, might be inching back towards what Ramsey Bakery used to provide the island with.
