Who wants that over here? But the place made National newspapers for the queues, and that has remained more-or-less the same for 20 (?) years now. Strand Street would benefit from a McDonalds although I am sure such an option has been looked at by the mighty McDonalds business. Very few McDonalds are owned by the company. 93% of them are franchises.

There are hundreds of very successful McDonalds, Burger Kings and KFC’s all over Britain in town and city centres with no drive though.

Too small Spoons don't like hassle though. They've closed/sold quite a few they saw as falling into that category since Covid. Isle of Man is hassle. It could work as a franchise, but Spoons don't franchise. Non-starter, like Aldi and all the rest of the frequent romoured arrivals.

Is it for sale? I reckon it would be too expensive for them. They like old buildings that no one wants. Dont see many in new developments (although there are a few) 1886 was the perfect location to fit their model layout.

I don’t think the ground floor is in use at the moment is it. Might want to rip out some of the awful decor.

Too small I tick all those boxes apart from the last one, although I would take my family to a 'spoons. They rarely have drunks at the bar proclaiming every 20 minutes "I'm just going out for a fucking smoke" followed by a phlegm filled throat clearing chortle.
