Will it be open by christmas? Guess no if planning is needed, could do somewhere to buy decent chocolates for gifts. Good luck to whoever it is doing it.

Try Berries on PSM prom, not been for a while but I know Karl is still doing chocolate stuff.

So, presumably the old 'accesories' in the foyer area??? To the right?

Pretty serious mistake to make, hope the fees are being covered by the agents!

On a side note, 1200 chocolate outlets!!! That's the way to tackle 'cost of living' problems???

So because there's a cost of living issue people shouldn't have nice things?

If you look at the applications, it is one of the units that faces on to Strand Street. The plans of the proposed changes clearly give an external view.  That is good news, a large empty unit that looks like it will be be occupied.

Jessops old place?

Not sure.  There are two units for let.  One on the right used to be the Card Factory.  I can't remember what the one on the left was.

I was in town today. I thought I would have a look to see if I could make any sense of the application.

The one on the right was an 'accessorize', on the left was a shoe shop which became a card shop???

Looks like a  juxtaposition of planning has caused some confusion?

Either way, do we need a chocolate shop or a cheap 'bin & bag it' shop.

Aren't there enough Cadbury already??? Bournville usually sufficed?

The one on the right was Evans Outsize for many years. You’re right about the unit on the left being a shoe shop, Stead & Simpson,  and then a card shop. And to the left of that was Jessops. It’s the Jessops shop that the chocolatier is going into.

Evans who? Anti clockwise from the entrance to the Stand was Accesorise, Mothercare and someone else back to the shoes shop and Strand St.

Were Evans the accesorise shop?

It seems inconsequential but it's a good memory test???

HMV were there in the back left.
