If you are isle of man resident then its cheaper to get the Manx national heritage membership  for £40 per year

https://www.friendsofmnh.org/join/

Additional adult at same address is £30 per year

It has a reciprocal arrangement with national trust etc  and even some overseas schemes..

It was a Xmas gift from our daughter to us both.

Southern swimming pool closing

Remember them blocking the development of the new King Bills swimming pool?  Just over a year ago.

Maybe reapply as moving buchan, so probably lots of new houses on site as prime site

Royal George in Ramsey confirmed as Jaks group.  Finally

Worlds worst kept secret.

I'd imagine they'll get them open and keep an eye on the south for an opportunity. Be interesting to see where they go from there.

If they've got North, East and West.  It's got to be down south somewhere - probably Pt Erin.

Or Injebreck; right in the middle.

Bus fare from here's a killer though...

What's your take on the menu from The British?

Again, I'm slightly disappointed with it. It's pretty standard pub fare, and maybe he's been restricted to that, I just thought they'd go a bit wider.

I do think £17 and £16 for fish & chips and fish cakes respectively is at the higher end of things. Kind of prices I'd expect to see in Wine Down.

They tried the South way back in the early days of Callows Yard, with Fusion. That was Jaks and maybe the Taj? Some tie up with one of the Indian restaurants in Douglas anyway. Only went a couple of times. The yorkshires with the Sunday lunch were memorable, but little else.
