10,000 visitors is substantial for the IOM - the Southern Agricultural Show had around 12,000 over the weekend last year.

It takes time to build these events up, and whilst there were definitely some gripes with the format it was becoming established on the calendar, and seems odd to ditch it relatively last minute without a proper alternative? Presumably if it was not successful the announcement could have been made last winter.

Can't they tie it up with existing events like the agricultural shows?

Don't be daft - that's a sensible idea.

I assume the Villa will be losing some income form it?

Even after extortionate rental fees the Villa turns in a loss. Think of it as a saving.

They are operating from Robinson's now so maybe that shop is superfluous?

Everest windows IOM.

i am surprised they were still going to be honest.  Surely people could see through their awful sales tactics and massive prices??

Apologies if already mentioned. I did search but it kept taking me to the TT topic and I don’t mean to be a pane.

Everest in the UK went into administration last month.  Presumably the local branch/company will inevitably follow suit.

ETA it was April.
