The two are different beasts. I used to go to Gaia 2/3 times on weekdays and with the family on Saturday mornings for breakfast. Their coffee was superb, the vibe was good, they had a array of colourful breakfasts and the guy running it was welcoming and friendly. Saturday mornings it was full outside even in winter. I’ve only been once since the changeover and haven’t returned since. It’s lost it’s soul, the coffee was average to say the least, no sign of fruity bowls of food and the guy serving seemed like he didn’t want to be there Another person who thought that all you’ve have to do is make drinks by a bus station and the punters will come. Sadly he’s wrong and didn’t research his customer base before taking over the lease. That disastrous press release is the last nail in the coffin. Exactly. The Caff is across the road and always busy. Spill the beans is around the corner and seems to do well. The British, Barberry Coast and Front Porch all do coffee. The Co-op is a thirty second walk away and does a meal deal for £3.50. Starbucks and numerous other places are two minutes away.
Kopek
Is that coffee that is eaten by Civet cats and, well you can guess. Is that vegetarian?

Apparently: Proposals should include: Rental in the region of £4,800 plus VAT per annum Sample menus with prices Proposed opening hours Any previous experience in catering or event management The number of staff to be employed which rent is the same as originally required (despite 3FM thinking it a reduction - no one has ever explained to them what "+ VAT" means). The requirements are rather less flowery than previous though. Buy a catering trailer and park up in the layby opposite

No they didn’t they made up some Covid cock and bull story and tried to flog it as a going concern to another mug (clearly given their announcement today). Veganism was popular for about 5 minutes but most people now seem to think that vegans are proper attention seeking fannies.

TheTeapot
I'd buy food from a vegan place but not coffee, they'd put shit fake milk in it.
