And not closing as such but certainly another pulling out of Strand St.. At least it might give some of the wokes and millennials something to really get worried about. Better make sure you don’t get misgendered on your P45!

I think Covid / 2020 lockdowns helped the decision along, it gave a lot of people time to stand back and assess. If you don’t need the money/can comfortably retire and enjoy life, why wouldn’t you? The irony being the ‘woke’ or ‘snowflake’ generation is typically slagged off by the very generation who was responsible for their upbringing. He’s not wrong about the recession though, this one is definitely going to bite hard. Edited June 25, 2022 by Annoymouse

Has anyone had a look at their manx telecom bills for broadband. I took fibre last year and that's gone up by around £5 this month compared to last month ( I'm still on a 24 month contract) Seems to be keeping in line with general inflation at first glance But it will cost around £15 more per month if I was a new customer on the same package!!! So in effect its a 25% increase from last months prices for fibre broadband Edit.. its even worse than that 25% increase in prices and lower speeds !!! For new subscribers. You get a WiFi range extender on the new package but they are cheap and don't see how they add so much to the bill. Siansbury's Taste the Difference India Pale Ale, at above price in Shoprite, is £1.65 a bottle across. One of the others is £1.50 a bottle in Sainsbury;s across. (23 June) A nice deal if you can get it.

There are shipping restrictions to IOM for some products which can be a pain

Yet another increase - Bushy's beers, the ones in 2 pint milk bottles, were 3 for £10. They are now 3 for £12. £2 per pint is more expensive than a lot of bottled beers, even in Shoprite. (The 3 for £6 offer is for 500ml bottles - less than a pint). Sorry, yet another potential sale lost. (Tesco have upped their beer prices, too, with no "bulk" buy offers.)
