2112
Daffys been on the NPM and also has a question tabled in Tynpotwald saying the footfall is down in Laxey due to ongoing works, and works on Laxey Wheel in particular. Granted it isn’t ideal but Daffy got her wish for more money to be spent on tourism infrastructure. I thought that Laxey Wheel renovations were finished? They whine when no money is spent on those bits of scrap and they whine when they spend a shit ton of cash on those bits of scrap. Burn the fucking wheel down then there won't be anything to worry about and Daphne can actually focus on some issues that actually matter. 2

How many people have visited and more importantly, how many is she expecting to visit? Number of visitor attractions in Laxey, to include the wheels? And what will their carbon footprint be? and how does she balance that with her environmental goals? less people visiting = less people travelling = less pollutants, maybe she used some of the 'green' budget to finance work on the laxey wheel in order to save the world?!

Daphne doesn’t actually seem to do anything though. She wafts round in her silly electric car telling people she’s more virtuous than them and they shouldn’t burn fossil fuels and posts pictures of goats and waterfalls on Twitter. That seems to be the sum extent of her interaction with the public. She’s reached that part of her political career that it doesn’t seem to be about her actually doing anything as she thinks she’s an established MHK.

Yes money that will no doubt be pee’d away on silly initiatives that will do little for climate change.

The price of admission is outrageous, £8.00 I believe. Who on earth is mad enough to pay that to climb some stairs and stand at the top of that?

Does anyone know if her car is charged via solar power, or is it another pseudo electric car powered by gas?

She does occasionally get tipsy , at functions , and takes photographs from the top of Tynwald hill when the court is in session , contrary to standing orders ,and not the behaviour you would expect from a member of the House of Keys , apart from making a lot of fuss about nothing , you could list the successes on the back of a postage stamp , 1
