Bus Vannin in Crisis

Apologies for the random question but does anybody know why that random cycle lane appeared on Lezayre Road a couple of years ago (from milntown to the DoI depot near Cafe Rosa). Was it someone just messing about? You can still see the really poor markings and then it just veers across the road into the depot.

Heard it was a line painting machine returning to its trailer and the tap was not turned of properly the driver certainly was not checking his mirrors or looking behind.

Nearly, It was a vehicle leaving the Glen Duff Depot that was not turned off.

It was supposed to be removed before TT but it looks like it is now here to stay until the next loose chippings overcoat...............

So in all this crisis with Bus Vannin where is the highly paid Director of Transport Mr L???? What is his public take on this absolute shambles? I think the bus drivers are very clever employees and probably amongst all this there is a "statement".

If the Bus drivers are taking the piss then the public will see through them and give them absolutely no support.

If the Director is inflaming this national issue, well it's over to Mr Tim Crookall MHK the DOI Minister to sort it out.

That’s more a no service update than a service update.

Only the ones that can drive a bus.

Maybe all their casual drivers have pissed off to Greenlight for the TT...?

Pretty shit for people working in PE or PSM'd pubs and living in Arbory or Castletown - that's no buses between 10:30ish and after midnight.

You would think that with Alf’s “Night of the Long Knives” in full swing, Longworth might be feeling a bit uncomfortable right now, but he’s such an arrogant twat.....

However, it is well known that he wants to be in charge for the Steam Railway’s 150th Birthday, next year, so he can show off to his mates. So there is a real opportunity for Crookall to put him under real pressure, then kick him out and spoil his party.

Come on Tim. Everyone cut you a bit of slack when you took this job on. But the honeymoon is now over. It’s time show who is boss.

Well he certainly can’t show off to his wife anymore.

But agree with you the arrogant twat needs to be binned.
