Itsmeee
The dog even needs a photo for their card! Also, how would a dachshund reach to scan their card? I actually cannot believe this story. Our society has become way too dog-centric. Walks away, shaking head in disbelief.
The Voice of Reason
Might make a nice novelty Christmas present for someone who lives across if you get a picture of their dog
Two-lane
Do you think they might publish the total income vs cost of administration?

Declan
The dog would need to make 100 trips for the pass to save it's owner money. And they can't even share the pass because of the photo ID, which I suppose will make it easier for the dog to open a bank account.

You do occasionally see dogs on the bus, but it's the first I knew that people had to pay for them - I thought they just counted as baggage. But IOM Newspapers may have got the figures wrong as according to the application form: It's only £20 for the bus and £5 for rail. (I think my favourite bit is asking for the dog's surname). Presumably some people who travel on a pass asked if they could have one for their pooch as well rather than digging out 30p each time. The first question any MHK should be asking is “How many dogs did Bus Vannin take fares for in the last 5 years. If it’s more than 10 I’d be amazed. Two-lane
Don't dogs have to microchipped these days? If so, all that is necessary is for all the buses to be equipped with dog chip readers - all this dog pass/photograph stuff can then be eliminated. Digital Isle of Man...
