If Longworth had still been there we would have about 20 owned circulating the island let alone one demonstratro

If Longworth had still been here, we'd have had a fleet of 20, but would have forgotten to put in the  means of charging them......

When is this expenditure/strategy voted on in Tynwald?

When/if they decide to buy them - this is a demonstration vehicle supplied by Mercedes. Bit like a car dealer giving you a car for a test drive in the hope that you'll buy one.

It is already done deal, what do you think they will be spaffing Daffy's £45 big one's on. Longworths legacy got to keep the Merc cars rolling in.

Anyway is it just me or are the schools getting their mini buses back, seen quite a few with sponsorship and who bought them appearing back at the schools. Or are they just being moved to make space for the new fleet of electrickery sharabangs soon  to be clogging up the arterial roots as battery's fail.

Summer timetable out, very few changes. Before Covid the south buses were four an hour and the Douglas-Peel buses were three an hour. Neither are back to that frequency.

Chris Thomas, of course, is out stating that Bus Vannin are “back to a pre-pandemic timetable”. Round where I am the buses used to be hourly now they’re two-hourly.

Does Chris Thomas not arse himself to check anything the DOI tell him?

The new timetable does at least fix the Port St. Mary problem where the two buses an hour were at the same time. They're now at 59 and 39 minutes past. Also for a few short months in the summer there'll be a Creg Neish / Sound service at weekends (described as Bradda - Port Erin - PSM - Sound despite of not going near Bradda) and a random Peel - PE one.

But the real issue is I'm going to have to leave the house four minutes earlier in the morning. Fascists!

your lucky, in upper Douglas we don't have a bus at all  ! the service was curtailed , in one of the most heavily populated areas in the Isle of Man

Where do you mean by upper Douglas? The area around the bottom of Bray Hill is a bus desert, definitely, and I don’t understand why they don’t send some of the buses from Willaston down Bray Hill.
