That's odd if it's the case.  Hasn't the media simply been reporting the Tribunal decision?

Probably Allison for Treasury if he doesn’t want best candidates ie Chris Thomas, at least Alex has the intellect to understand figures

Actually technically he was correct at that point.  They clearly wanted Ranson to go off sick till the end of her initially contacted period of two years, but she insisted on continuing to work to try to improve things on the Island.  The Decision refers to a report she produced in January 2022 for example.  Manx Radio simply got this wrong.

Ashford and co clearly hoped the whole thing could be sold as Ranson leaving because it was the end of her two years, but the Tribunal found that she had effectively been dismissed.  Whether you take the date as being January 2022 or April 2021 (or a bit earlier) when she should have moved to Manx Care, it wasn't in August.  That's just when the news of how she was being treated started to leak out.

A mere technicality which the tribunal saw through. The failure to transfer her across to Manx Care was the point in which she was sacked in their eyes.

But she had been dismissed by 13 August 2021, hadn't she?

I may be completely mistaken or may have got my dates wrong, but didn't the Tribunal determine that she had in effect been unfairly dismissed when she wasn't transferred over to Manx Care (or whatever it's called) on 01 April 2021?
