With about £3m for the Climate Board to do stuff

Money is tight so the department budgets probably won't be full committed and net zero will be pushed back to 2075

Seems that The Untouchables are finally waking up to the fact that they are indeed responsible for their actions or inactions. I'm sure there'll be more but we probably won't know or read about them.

Hopefully a case of Alf finally waking up to the fact that in certain sectors we have a public sector that is out of control and which totally embarrasses its political masters and which has got worse the more untouchable the people within it have thought they have got.

Very much a non-job so hopefully they won't try to replace him.

Previously the CEO of DEFA of course and he moved to "become director of Climate Change Transformation" only in December 2021 because it "reflect[ed] the priority shown towards addressing environmental issues in the new Island Plan, which commits to accelerating the delivery of the Climate Change Route Map".  Obviously not that much of a priority if he is resigning "with immediate effect" after only six months.

It was so much a non-job that the Climate Change team had managed happily without a 'director' for two and a half years before he was shunted sideways to become it (though I notice he has adjusted this retrospectively on his Linkedin.  Which from his education dates suggests he is about 58, so too early for retirement.
