Omobono
I wonder what it cost to bring the American lawyer his four cylinder never raced in the MGP motorcycle , and dave Roper over for the week and the relationship with the event ? no one on the MGP committee seemed to know why they were here and who was paying the expenses, and the 6 people from Manx radio at the grandstand for the duration , while 1 Roy Moore would have run rings around the lot of them and known what he was talking about , the racing was excellent but cant help feel the fans were cheated and they even had the mountain section of the TT course closed for 2 days after the races so the fans could not do a lap before going home , so much for Manx hospitality
english zloty
How to fit 1,050 into 43,000 and £834 into £36.1 million? Pay someone else to make up the figures you need to show for you 😂 Still, Tim is happy. https://www.manxradio.com/news/isle-of-man-news/more-than-43000-visitors-for-tt-2023-survey-says/ Perfect timing for Alf too.

That's made up for the promenade shambles, right there. All we need now, is someone somewhere making up that the island "made" £70/80 Million during the Manx Grand Prix, and we'll have the L'pool terminal sorted as well. 2 1

Sounds like a survey for Family Fortune.
Blade Runner
FFS. Did the random sample only include people with either leathers on or carrying a helmet? 43K? visitors for the TT? 2023? Yeah, right. It they are making stuff up it would be better if they came out with a more realistic figure of say 20K and you could believe that but 43K, I call bullshit. Why cant they just count the amount of return trips, sea and air over the TT period that start and return to off the island? That would tell the truth. No need for spending money on consultants

Where were you during the festival that made you think there weren’t more than 20,000 here over the two week period? Thats only an average of 1.4K people a day and we all know that every ferry, plane, fishing boat. Private boat and private plane into the island over that period was full. Non-Believer
I see use of the words, "Claims" and "Estimates". As ever. A couple of months back some TT period airport passenger figures were produced. A comments contributor to the article pointed out that if those figures were to have been attained, based on an A319/A320s capacity, Easyjet would have had to have operated 15 full flights a day for the period in question. Unless Loganair carried them all of course. Edited September 19, 2023 by Non-Believer Extra bit
Omobono
its all about paying agencies to produce what certain people want to hear , logistics don't allow us to carry so many people in that period , will somebody please do the sums ! In a matter such as this, it doesn't take much to check the figures yourself as all the information such as flight arrivals, aircraft capacity (ditto Steam Packet( are all readily available to work out a good approximation. Anything but “rammed”. Pubs empty, restaurants closing for the period. great demographic of 50 plus too..

Absolutely bollocks from the anti TT brigade, everywhere I went was rammed including the outer towns like port Erin, Ramsey etc. never seen so many people in port Erin, every eatery etc made a fortune 2

Do you have a link to the comment? It was linked to this article of the time but I can't remember which platform it was actually on. An A320 has a maximum capacity of 180 pax and an A319 is smaller per Google so the sums can be approximated.
