Does anyone in government ever hold there hands up and accept blame for anything. Not a chance anyone will be held accountable . And so it goes on. How much now have the cost the tax payers now over the years. Vision 9 and the World Series all disappeared of the radar costing loads. 2

This. That tells you everything you need to know about how the Motorsport Division operates. Wastrels. 1 1

NoTail
I find it all very depressing. Roy Wilson who ran Motorsport Merchandise (with a dedicated team and family) did a fantastic job. He literally delivered the goods, he worked closely with local retailers like Promenade T Shirts and Top to Toe. He employed many local students over the race periods giving them good money. This was not by accident. RW is a trader through and through who knows how to do these things properly. Even when foot and mouth came along he survived where many would have failed. The government or whoever it is that decides these things came to resent his obvious success. Arrogant individuals with big egos wanted a piece of the action. Progressively over a number of years life was made more difficult for RW to operate. Eventually he through in the towel. There are many morals to this but the important one I take from it is that a weak government that sets up a Motorsport Division to run the show where there is no serious, proper oversight by actual ministers with balls is destined to fail. Will lessons be learnt? Edited January 4 by NoTail

It'll be the hundred and seventeenth time the TT has taken place, if you haven't got used to a few road closures by now there's not a lot of hop for you.

Will lessons be learnt? Roy Wilson and his daughter did a fantastic job not only providing top quality TT branded clothing at reasonable prices that promoted the event world wide , but also gave generously to motorcycle clubs and rider related charities, he was treated disgracefully by certain people in the motorsport group ,and I hope a day of reckoning is not far away these people are not worthy of being called civil servants ,and the politicians with responsiblilty for oversight of the division are a disgrace ,
