Rubbish. There are flights and ferries on and off the island now at reasonable rates.

A but of planning and you could have booked weeks or months ago at decent prices.

Listen Brian I know you get free travel but us mere mortals cannot afford to leave the IoM due to the TT snd MGP.

The petulant Southern 100 Course organisers were throwing a paddy earlier that the owners of a local house have refused to let them use their driveway as part of the races. Trying to use bully boy tactics on social media isn't a good look for them.

They don’t use the driveway.

For many years they have constructed a bridge over the driveway so that spectators can enjoy the event without going onto private property.

Why on earth the owner would suddenly have an issue with it, I have no idea.

The mountain road was closed before 5pm due to an RTC 🤷‍♂️

That's what confused me, I heard it was opening at 4:30 and saw some very wealthy chaps in fancy cars parked at the side, he said it wasn't due to open until 5?

Did the sports car club have a free run before the mountain was open to everyone else?

Because there’s this belief that anything motorbike related on the island is sacrosanct and not to be messed with. Get a grip and realise these events are a massive inconvenience and good on the house owners sticking to what they believe is right.

The house was sold recently.

Then they need to do one.  They purchased a house on a race track that has had access over their drive via a bridge at no cost to them for years.

It is not in any way intrusive as the drive is so long you can’t even see the house.

Any feedback from n these prices that price people out of leaving the island?

Last minute.  Our straight after the schools break up and back last sailing before they open again.

Just over £50 each.

And to the driver of the ochre-coloured "supercar", 100 HU, who almost caused a head-on collision at Guthrie's by overtaking into oncoming traffic which was obliged to take avoiding action, around 6.45am today...you, sir, are an absolute prick who needs to retake a driving course and test.

Oh that would be our Hugh, he said he was taking Tarquin and Petronella for a spin round some circuit in his yellow Mc Claren, if his slacks and string back gloves dried on time,on the Aga

You try adding a car onto that and see what happens.

Rent one at the other end.

You would have to be off your head to ever take a car away when hire cars are so cheap and you can avoid putting the miles on your own

No they don't. It's their property so they can do as they please.

If the organisers are so arsed they should have purchased the house when it was on the market.

They didn't buy a house on a race track. They purchased a house on a public road that is occasionally used to race motorbikes. Big difference.

Good to see people not just kowtowing to the motorcycle muppets. Make life a bit harder for them.
