If the rich should be allowed to do whatever they want, then you can't complain when they do something that inconveniences you. Or indeed that someone has bought a house on the course when it's actually at the other end of a long drive. Though I wonder if the reason for the refusal is worrying about liability. Yeah, basically. If you want to watch there you need to be there before the roads close. As for what the Southern organisers said, I didn’t see it as being pissy. They explained the new owner hasn’t allowed them to do what the old owner did allow them to do, and they told people to not walk across his land. Perhaps the new owner would prefer they remain silent and have people walking across his land? Very oppressive looking stares and random pullovers by the police at the hairpin, enforced 50mph right up to the top of tower bends almost to Joeys, police at Bungalow again hard stares and random pullovers. Police at Windy, then the usual chaos coming down into the Creg. Also saw two total fucking idiots on a tandem cycling out from Ramsey towards the Ginger.
