0bserver
It seems that the DOI are wasting valuable fire service time by continuing to run the steam train in the current hot/dry weather. When it loses so much money in the first place, why isn't it suspended until the weather breaks?

Max Power
To be fair, it's really common for these fires to happen, the railway are usually on top of them very quickly but I guess the odd one may be beyond their facilities?

Yeah - it had to climb the bank and go across a couple of fields, catch the bus and walk a bit - but it was the train - saw it happen I did. 1

The Phantom
I'd probably concur these are caused by the Choo-choo. It's got rails. It's a fucking shambles. They also seem to now be running the filthiest cheapest coal they can find. Last few days down the Station end of Athol St has been like Delhi on a bad day. 1

As opposed to No 21: Which isn't named apparently. (That withdrawn column is one of the funniest things on Wikipedia) 1
