This from the bloke who refers to heritage transport tourism as old people going on holiday to sit on a choo choo. I suppose they do say that the first sign of insanity is believing it's everyone else.

Remind us of anything? At least this one closed in 2010.

I would say it’s now in reverse and population is decreasing . The 430 ish in 1 1/2 years is not good and clearly Alf’s plans are failing. It’s clear to me there’s a massive fall in Eastern Europeans coming here now from a few years ago and it’s not surprising really. It’s far dearer to live here than most places in the UK so he needs to rethink his plans or there’s going to be even fewer to drain for CS pension deficit. Those reserves are going to be hammered .

Eastern Europeans have stopped coming as after Brexit lot more difficult to come here .

Yes you’re right and that’s what I was referring to. Didn’t make it clear sorry.

And it seems just about everyone apart from CaBo knew this. The scary thing is now the figures are out there, how much it's masking underperformance in other areas. Not that they seem to be tracking their KPI.

Lack of career-furtherance opportunities in comparison with the UK cited as a major reason. A difficult one to address, perhaps.

Surely housing market a bigger factor than that? Especially given the 5 year deadline. Most families rent for 1-2 years initially, and then hit the 'brick wall' of the housing market when trying to move into ownership.
