This could be the issue. My friend had his Country set as Isle of Man and mine is United Kingdom, when he was looking for something it didn't come up on his Amazon but did on mine, he changed his Country to United Kingdom and it was suddenly showing in his search results (prices were different on a couple of things as well).

This is getting worse and worse. Tried to buy a coffee machine. Hardly any available. All ones that looked ok are currently unavailable. Changed delivery to UK and suddenly thousands available.

It used to say "not available in your country "

Now it's just plain unavailable.

Cant be just the sellers as loads on fleabay

There are thousands of other traders who sell coffee machines other than Jeff Bezos.
if I was buying one I’d be looking at a specialist website not Amazon where I might save £5 and free postage.

All that I buy on t'internet cannot be bought on island or has a massive waiting list and costs a good deal more................De-Walt batteries, wrangler jeans, pop up plug seals, special battery for garage plipper and so on.

I saw a comment on social media which rings true to me. Amazon more and more is moving away from relying on third parties to using its own logistics and local delivery, throughout the UK.

We could in the not too distant future find ourselves vulnerable to this from major retailers.

I think this is an Amazon-related thing.  I had the same experience this week trying to buy a book.  Available from Amazon itself with 25 or so other options shown.  But click to list those and none are available.  Switch location to an English postcode and they are.

Most of them would have been delivering directly and it seems unlikely that all these would refuse to sell to here.  More likely Amazon is blocking for some reason, presumably to increase profits.
