You keep saying this. Its not true and never has been. Its only if your existing boiler is too small. They are not difficult to install. Only bit that needs special qualification over and above any other heating system is the piping of the refrigerant and that's not a big job. If there is work, tradesmen will reskill Lets stick to facts and not myths Not what the woman from climate change team Sid recently on Manx Radio when she confirmed you cannot put fossil fuel heating from your existing system into extension unless you already have planning permission granted by 31/12/2003 and must be completed by 31/12/2024.
Fred the shred
The total ignorance on all things climate change related will not stop these zealots from ploughing on regardless of course it is not their money they are spending and it won’t be their mess to clear up as I suspect from public feeling this will be the last term in office many of them will be enjoying. 3

Ok can’t install a new one from 2025, we’re banning diesel/petrol cars sales sooner as well. We will be an outlier!!

Fred the shred
The penny has just dropped that it is pie in the sky thinking and not going to happen so they are quietly pushing things back. Whether our lot will have the sense to follow suit remains to be seen. I wonder how much of the 42 million has been utilised by Daphne I doubt her team that are supposedly overlooking this project are working for free and then their ITIP and pension contributions have to be met no matter how little progress is being made.
Andy Onchan
What's the betting that a significant proportion of that £42 million will already have been spunked away on other unrelated 'stuff'.

We will be an outlier!! You can install a new one in an existing house. There will be a sudden upsurge in triggers broom boilers for at least 30 years.😄
