The Questions really come down to three….how many turbines will be needed to generate the power the Island needs ? where will they be put ? and how much will the initial outlay be ?    Just saying.

Seems The Examiner knows where they'll be sited. As for how many - aim for 100% of peak demand (or something like that). Initial outlay - depends on whether the DOI is involved.

The plans says 30mw made up of solar and wind. If it was 50/50 then that’s 15mw of wind. That’s about 4 units, depending on the size

Ah Renewable Energy Holdings on Mr Callisters CV the very same one set up by Mike Proffitt after the MUA / Barclays Loan fiasco - absolutely mind blowing Government stupidity.

Suitable sites were identified years ago by the AEA Technology report in 2010.

So is the plan to build out these AND two future interconnectors? In the name of climate emergency? What does that tot up to. £150-200m and yet everyone is bothered about Liverpool Landing Stage 🙄....

The new interconnector is controlled by Daphne and only renewable sources allowed.  Hopefully that doesn't include drax wood pellet power.

Though oddly enough the press release doesn't mention that he's currently "Managing Director of Colas Isle of Man Ltd including Auldyn Construction".  Funny that.
