There should be all-island waste management body, it is crazy so many small authorities having to deal with their own through whatever means.  Pool it all and you would think there would be efficiencies and better handling.

Oh wait ......

DBC do all island collection of glass/cans recycling so I suppose it's a start on the road to world domination!

Onchan is doing just fine thank you with it’s bin collections every week, great operators, we want nothing to do with DBC and it’s cack handed ways.

Your commissioners spend all their time playing childish games with each other but at least they do empty the bins weekly. There always used to be that joke about the Germans that no matter how bad they were the trains always ran on time. But it looks like Douglas is even now down to twice monthly trains.

Oops seems the cats out the bag on Facebook about what actually is recycled . Shame was saving the videos we have of what they actually recycle and what gets incinerated until they produce the figures of what it costs us ratepayers for Santon rubbish collections actually cost us . This Insanity cannot go on ! Don't worry I'll back up the employees claims by video soon enough

Anyone who thought anything over here was recycled in anyway that was beneficial to the environment is stupid, or a Douglas councillor, or both (probably both)

Yes, but where specifically? I'm after a link to the post if possible, or at least the group its in, Facebook is a mess for finding stuff.

It will likely be the Douglas Residents Against Fortnightly Refuse Changes Facebook Group. Which largely seems to be full of absolute halfwits and if you were to bet on it has probably been set up by someone at DBC using a fake FB account in any attempt to amplify the stupidity argument. I’d certainly doubt the administrator is actually a real person.
