I don't think the plan is to stop the traffic outside Clinches, Mr Cod and The Bridge that turns onto Lord Street.

I'd hope not. But given the history and level of numptyhood in big ideas from our public officials it was worth raising. Same as shutting the entire TT course at 4:00pm on a weekday at short notice leads to utter gridlock for several hours.

Let’s start your campaign to be taken seriously with an update on the following.

Enquiry into bent Housing Officers

Enquiry into faked emails

£10k on a barrier

Bins

Man living in squalor (sad I know but your input so far is to blame Paul Moulton)

Huzzah!  Bins are back on the agenda (albeit fourth on a list of five subjects).   Interestingly, “Man living in squalor” is fifth…

Can't comment on any individual case re housing issues, but I am disappointed by Paul with this.

To be fair you seem to be disappointed in everyone who publicizes how bad Douglas Corporation is about doing or implementing anything. How can you be disappointed in a journalist for highlighting what is a clear issue with the way a Douglas resident is being forced to live?

It's not certain that it will cost that much. Long overdue that we pedestrianize the area properly. Ideally the whole of NQ should be. No need for cars there.

Except for people going to and from TESCO. It was a great idea to put a supermarket in a cul de sac.

Well it's not her constituency and it's not central government (ie DoI) housing, so it's difficult to see how it's her responsibility except, like every other MHK, in so far as it illuminates central policy.

Comes under her to protect this man’s health and ensure he has the right wrap around services and assistance.   So her passing the buck is very ‘telling’

Frankly Mr Frank maybe it’s time to talk sense and not just make noise.

Scales says he’s now done an FOI on the housing roles which reveals that nobody has been let go in housing at all and that the vacancy advertised was for a career break officer. It may well depend on how a career break is defined though (!) as it was a full time role that was advertised. Perhaps someone had to take a career break?

Linda Radcliffe who signed the FOI is the same Linda Radcliffe that was let go by the hospital and Onchan Commissioners in rather murky surroundings latterly being suspended by ODC for allegations of bullying.

She is clearly now head of mis information at DBC and that sort of background was no impediment whatsoever to another well paid plum public sector role.

Nothing else on the “fake” emails either as yet.

@FANDL magnificent- it appears that the Callister in waiting has no keyboard today.

It would be much better for all those involved to be open in their engagement as too many people now are not going to let any of this drop. As for credible communication you have to question how someone accused of bullying at ODC and  who left under a veil of secrecy and claims of a secret pay off can just disappear and pop up in a key role like that in another LA charged with providing open engagement with the public.

If one digs around a bit it becomes apparent that there is something of a "family" or "society" when it comes to senior CS. Not only including Central Govt but also including those working in LAs who have a remarkable ability to transfer between those bodies as and when vacancies arise and/or they need to find a new job.

Now no doubt they will tell you of relevant skills, experience and qualification - but it's also remarkable how they manage to transfer employments when those qualities have previously been found to be lacking.

There are always lucrative numbers available to these individuals, the little "Cosa Nostra" assures it and the democratic principles do not apply in these cases.
