The Voice of Reason
All this bickering and name calling doesn’t show MF in a good light. Just provides ammunition to those who deride the forum. Not quite the debating chamber it should be (and on occasions is or has been)

ADELE
I think this amount could be run up quite quickly when it comes to lawyers fees. It may have been lots of checks being made when any new policies are put forward I imagine changing from town to city status would require amendments on documentation being checked, just day to day stuff. In the day the Town Clerk had to be a lawyer that must have saved them a few bob I don’t know if that is still the case. These days it is inadvisable to agree to anything before a lawyer has okayed it just the way of the world.
Two-lane
The amount involved is fairly consistent over the years. In comparison, is there any data on the legal fees incurred by other authorities?
