A progressive idea for The Vibrator. Let’s build a big place at the end of every street for the people to work in. We could call it a ‘factory’ and the workers could all walk there from tiny local houses with just sunshine for central heating. With a pub at the other end of the street where they could spend their wages. All the pensioners would be worked to death and die early to make him happy. Then we could get Mr. Lowrey to paint pictures of this utopia.

It's Lowry yer thicko, the fact that he is long dead, pretty much sums up your grasp of reality.

I imagine Stu, who is well versed in the art world was referring to

Arnold Lowrey

Who is a well known artist and still producing fine work🙄

Well you certainly won't ever get a DOI position. You first  must learn to NEVER  admit to getting anything wrong. 😊

It's a new take on an old moral stance (old/new stock?). Admit when you're wrong but defend your position if you think you're right. I hope it catches on more, but can't hold my breath as I'm an old dodderer...

Sounds good but I really think you missed a trick by not grabbing on to the Arnold Lowery ,escape option.

You would have been thought of as a Cultural God and you could have have been Minister  of Arts and Culture and created your own money no object Empire.  Opportunity lost I feel. 😃

I assumed he was referencing the legendary Manx artist Eddie Lowrey; a member of the Socialist Realist school, best known for his cardboard box depictions of Ballasalla's smokey tops.
