Weather warnings and common sense

The worst thing about snow and ice is that it flushes out all the sad wankers who post that nobody knows how to drive in the conditions, walk on icy pavements etc, just to demonstrate their supposed superiority in driving, being a human being and so on ...

I see what you are trying to do there, very clever.

The roads are fine if you drive sensibly and smoothly and the majority of pavements are fine if you were the right shoes and look where you are going.

Incidentally, in amongst hall the moaning by sad people moaning about places not being gritted, plenty of those who aren’t moaning have been out gritting paths and places that might need it for the benefit of those who sit on their arses moaning that it’s a bit slippy out.

Harry does have a point though. All the smug bastards are tiresome at this time of year. Most of us just get on with it quietly.

Fair enough.

I stand by the opinion that anyone who needs a warning to tell them it’s a little bit cold out in December (in addition to the ones on the weather, the visible ones and the one in their car) or who can’t drive in the conditions of the last few days would be doing us all a favour by staying at home.

Seen someone on Facebook asking if they should send their kid to school tomorrow.

I used to live on top of a steep hill, when it Was Icy we would grit the road from the box at the end, people seem to want others to do it for them.

Judging by your photos, it's a whiteout.

When I was young you would wake up and there was ice on the inside of the windows and we would get dressed and walk 50 miles to school, it was uphill both ways. We didn't have weather warnings in those days and I turned out just fine.

Nice bit of recycling...

I don’t know why you are making a joke out of it.

The people who aren’t moaning that the DOI have t been round are still doing their own roads and pavements (where needed) this week.

It is insane that people are complaining that pavements and car parks aren’t done when they could just do them themselves,!! And asking if they should send kids to school??  Ffs

Because its funny when boomers make a big song and dance over doing things that all normal people do as if it makes them special or was an extra hard upbringing.
