Even if they cannot take away his driving  licence for his disregard of the legal requirements, one would imagine he is not a fit person to drive / own/ or operate a taxi. Are there not conditions and rules to being able to operate in the trade?

Probably the same given it's only a couple of weeks and the other details are identical.  IOMN do sometime put court stories up quite late, they've presumably put it in the print edition and then online late when they realised they hadn't put it there.

Any person who has 30+ convictions for vehicle offences is displaying a complete contempt for the rules regarding vehicle ownership and driving that everyone else is obliged to follow. The courts should have the power to rescind the driving licence of the offender in such circumstances.

But the problem isn't his driving, it's his owning them in large numbers and leaving them cluttering up the streets, often unlicensed.  Maybe, like you can bar someone from owning animals if they are cruel to them, you could ban them from owning cars in these circumstances.  But it would need new legislation and the people demanding that something should be done about Moore would be the first to complain about the attack on their freedom.

Be up again soon for a Range Rover that’s not been taxed since April 23 and left in Santon.   H’s moved it to his place now.  Still untaxed.

The guys just an idiot. Serial offender and clearly has more money than sense. No sympathy for him but so have for those living near him. And for the record would never set foot in his taxi.

He was a prospective MHK some years ago but could not get the required number of backers.    The prosecutor in the last case tried to get an ABH on him but the magistrate wouldn’t grant it.

Actual Bodily Harm? That's a bold request from a prosecutor!

I believe there are regulations covering operators, but he is just a driver apparently. I suppose if he had broken driving regulations it would be a different matter?

I wonder if the tax man would like to know how he can afford to buy, service, insure and not tax all these cars/vans owns?

He always seems to plead poverty but spends on COSTA and vehicles like they are going out of fashion.

Surely IoMG could just pass legislation allowing for such vehicles to be seized and crushed? It's common practice in the UK now for offending vehicles to meet this fate.

they will all be  business related expenses so the taxman will have the numbers.
