Budget Day Tomorrow

Not a lot of cash to play with so I am not expecting any radical announcements plus they will be stashing some cash away to pay for the windmills that are going to be dotted over the Island.   The Bat Society and the Bird Society have already indicated that they will disapprove regardless of where they are placed if there is any sign of Bat or Bird in the vincinity.  If they annoy humans that is just tough but opposition seems to be building up on Social media.   Hopefully pensioners will get a decent increase but we will have to see.   Mannin Line has been cancelled so David, Howard, Juan etc will be at a loose end so that we can all tune in and hear what the future holds……misery….probably.

I predict a continuation of lavish spending on Govt but a strange lack of detail on from where and how the funds are are to be made available. Other than some minor tinkering in reductions for the lower unwashed.

It’s already been announced that state pension will go up by cpi , 10.1% I recall.

hopefully NI & tax will go up for higher paid & no money for railway bridges!!

Sadly these bridges which will probably get built. Expect another over budget, and delayed scheme.

Picking low hanging fruits.

Nothing proactive.

Everything reactive.

Farmers get everything.

Real tax payers getting bum fucked.

Squeaky wheels getting oiled.

Doctors appointment charges.

Smoke, mirrors and lots of detail not said but to be slipped in when no one is looking.

I commend this budget to the forum.

They made a start on the bridge, didn't baker say they were in negotiations with land owners before we was turfed out?

No, Crookall called a halt to it during a review of "active travel" saying that the lines had "become blurred" over what constituted "active travel" and what constituted leisure and footpaths.

As in needs and wants and appropriate budgets I think...
