Starting to lay on the Mountain.

Definitely class it as snowing in Santon.  Not laying yet.

WFH and unfortunately seem to have acquired 2 extra kids from neighbours.  FFS

By coincidence I tried the Co Reg website earlier for some info.  Seems that's decided to (not) WFH too.

Looking North

Because Armageddon was forecast and the schools decided that they were shutting down before 5PM yesterday. Now they’re saying that they might be shutting tomorrow and there’s still no snow. A nice two days off for teachers and other government workers. And Douglas Corpy that’s now shut its offices from 12PM presumably as staff were moaning that they didn’t get a free day off like everyone else. Meanwhile everyone else is working even if that’s from home looking after their kids as the schools are shut. It’s pathetic to be honest.

Was Armageddon actually forecast though? All of the forecasts I have seen only predict snow on high ground with rain/sleet at lower levels until the evening

Umm, to be fair to them, all "Government workers" don't just get the day off because the schools are closed. Even if offices are closed the majority are able to work remotely from home, same as they did over the pandemic, and the same as the staff from commercial businesses are doing.

Shambles decision as well as the fact that the teachers and Headteachers were the last to know of DESC decision to close today. Doesn’t look good when you release this information to the press before informing your staff.

Companies Registry has shut up shop. Nobody WFH there. Same for Douglas Corpy nobody will be running the library remotely or anything else. They’ll be at home in front of the telly by now doing bugger all. This isn’t the pandemic it’s a bit of bad weather and that hasn’t even happened.

So lets see if you actually know what you are talking about.

Can you tell us what ideal conditions for heavy snow are?

Hang on, I thought Mystic Meg passed away yesterday. Did you inherit her crystal ball ? Were you badly bitten by a civil servant as a child ?
