You can, in some cases, figure out who is who on Tor. But we’re talking agencies the size of the NSA. You need to know what you’re looking for, who you’re looking for, at the right time, and with a lot of expertise. There are also a lot of ways you can use it wrongly, which can then be used to figure out who you are. There is also a lot of debate as to how much of the TOR network is operated by various security services, if you have enough of the pieces of the puzzle, you can fill in the blanks. There are also various laws about what your internet provider has to log and for how long. There are cases where a badly configured Tor setup will leak to your ISP data about what you’re doing.

So it is untraceable* (*ish. People can be traced, but it’s not easy and normally reserved for drug kingpins and child sex abusers, not someone who sends a barely-literate and barely-plausible bomb threat) Edited March 29, 2023 by Ringy Rose
maynragh
A thought that occurred to me after reading some of the comments above… if the original shit stirring news articles were mostly factually incorrect is that not defamation against the department and or staff involved? I don’t know obviously.
hissingsid
We have only had stage one of the report the children are yet to be interviewed all we have learned so far is that a Drag Queen was not present it was a person that is a drag artist in their spare time that informed the children there was 73 genders not two. A child maintained there were two genders and got taken out of class was spoken to by a teacher and then returned for the rest of the talk. We will have to see what stage two says when the investigation team interview the children or whatever way forward they proceed. All will hopefully become clear and transparent in the fullness of time .

The reports put out by energy were a load of made up sensationalist crap that have done a huge amount of harm.

We will have to see what stage two says when the investigation team interview the children or whatever way forward they proceed. All will hopefully become clear and transparent in the fullness of time . To pick up one point, the report does not state that the children were “informed” there were 73 genders. The guest said there “could be as many as 72 gender identities”. The children were not “taught” “told” etc there were 72/73 genders, as some have stated, it was apparently an open discussion about what some people believed. I know some will see this as a minor difference, particularly those with an agenda to play to, but it is so important to be accurate here. And this is not intended as a personal criticism of your self or your post. 7
