But aren't they opening up after the winter, as usual and in the same way that many other hospitality services companies do?

I have no idea what this means?

Why would a venue that is going to get most of its income from warm weekends, school holidays, tourists and light evenings open in the winter?

Plus, they have only just taken in the lease.  Give them a chance!!

There actually aren’t that many that close for winter other than the obviously seasonal ones.  Glen Helen for example are fairly new and traded and we’re busy throughout.  They even extended into evenings.

What's happening about the medical 'herb' farm at the B&Q roundabout?

Did the plans go up in smoke?

Has it been rolled up and forgotten?

In progress.

One license granted as far as I know but it’s not that one.  I believe there are three or four currently being processed.

No. It was recently run by Connor Cummins. Totally new operators. But, yes, it’s been seasonal.

“Run by”. Should say owned by.

It was never open although the food was actually ok when he first took It over.

The same as Conrods itself:  the biggest issue was the place was never open and so people stopped even trying to go.

Problem on the island at the moment is that we're in our own inflationary cycle of our own making...upping rents, prices of everything. In the past year it has become 20% more expensive to live here.

Youngsters, and even 40 yr old workers, are being financially cleansed from the island.

In 10 years time a lot of businesses won't be here anymore.

We need a residency act...and to stop importing retirees.

It’s owned by RTC, and rented out.

The Ltd company that had the lease from RTC was owned by Connor.

I was talking about the business, not the building, which everyone knows is owned by RTC

And a top down review of Govt numbers and above all, costs.

10 years? It’ll be a lot less than that Albert
