Literal weird linked translation? Like French for Apple (Pomme) and Potato (Pomme de Terre) which is literally a 'ground or earth apple'. Manxman1234
Another one looks like about to change hands, brewery giving up on the royal George in a Ramsey. Another step in moving away from been a hospitality company into a property company, which is probably a good thing

That’s positive and hopefully not left to rot like the others around the island that they have abandoned

Apparently they were looking to purchase a smaller system, as apparently volumes are declining. such a shame to see a business with so much potential a becoming a shaddow of its formerself

Whispers they have already or are planning to move it off island. As far as I know, they haven't yet.

Some of it's beers are probably already produced in the UK, such as the low alcohol canned beer that they do as they do not have the equipment to produce that

Does much of what they do make much sense to you? I think they've had some erratic decisions over the years by various MDs. Currently they don't have a group MD. It's a shame as they actually have one or two exceptional people on the hospitality side. The ones I have in mind though are nearing retirement age. Once they're gone they have little left in the way of expertise.
