Depends if you use Facebook.  If you do then they have definitely been on there quite a bit.  As far as I am aware it’s been open continuously other than lockdowns since the current owners took over nearly three years ago.

According to their own Facebook page  they shut on Jan 4 & would reopen in spring, it hasn’t reopened yet

That’s meteorological spring.

Season dates are, and have been for ever, related to solar events, solstices and equinoxes.

Winter 21 December to 20 March

Spring 21 March to 20 June

summer 21 June to  20 September

Autumn 21 September to 20 December.

Being solar events they have wobbled a day either side over the years
