After the Ranson affair and what’s now been exposed should Ashie keep his MBE for leadership of the department during the Covid-19 pandemic?

Of course he shouldn't. It's one of many things that need to happen, including a full Government apology and at least a couple of resignations. The first steps to real change.

I won't hold my breath though.

Ultimately the way I look at it is David Ashford having or not having a medal impacts my life not 1 bit

I don't know.  You could argue that Ashford getting an honour in the Johnson years was exactly the reward that he deserved.  It's the people who were accidentally given a gong who weren't cronies, suck-ups, frauds, crooks or shysters I feel sorry for.
