Manx Bean
I’ve noticed that at a number of garages this weekend that Diesel is now almost the same price as unleaded…anyone know how come? Has Putin died, or market forces, or..?
Manxman1234
Diesel is cheaper than petrol at most of them

John Wright
It’s wholesale price changes. Until just before Easter there was a 14p per litre retail differential, with diesel the more expensive
Non-Believer
Place I was at in UK last week had unleaded and diesel both pegged at £1.39/L.
Dave Hedgehog
It's because I sold my diesel car and bought a petrol one. 3

Sensible people lease their cars, and diesel is currently the cheapest way to have a decent range.

Wouldn't bio diesel be a better solution for the environment? Extend life of existing vehicles while reducing emissions? I recently bought an old diesel, brilliant fuel economy compared to my old petrol car.
