So they were taken down?  I really don't think

Were they traffic lights as we understand today? Just can't understand why they would put them there then take them away in a time of very little traffic  to replace them years later.

In a cat's head? 

I always point out the absence of them on the TT course to visitors.  Don't want to hit one of them on a bike at 180 mph

The old abattoir was in Lake Road
