It’s always packed but it’s a Sunday & normally close early. It will be rammed all day on quay this next 2 weeks & open until 11 & 12 on Saturday & Sunday

At least the miserable fuckers at DBC now seem to have relented on the use of the empty street outside the Rovers. No doubt as it would make them look stupid pushing N Quay closures on Twitter as a success but then acting like total twats to the exact same hospitality businesses directly on their back door on a street that’s never been used in the last 30 years but still had its outside seating banned because of moaning town hall workers. Broadcasterman
In contrast there are about 1000 people currently up at the Grandstand. Where the road is open. The only recycling these councilors seem to support is of bullshit to try to make themselves look good.

He is obsessed with closing roads. maybe needs to focus on more important things, if they didn’t waste as much tax payers money then maybe more peoplE would have money to drink on the quay more
Dr Beeching
Do you lot realise it's a perpetual cycle with you and him? The more you post about this the more he will post photos of North Quay. If you just ignore the idiot he will go away.

He won’t be happy until he turns half of Douglas into cycling and walking idiot land. Even if no cycling and walking idiots come forward to use the spaces created. Broken clock etc etc? What's so offensive about pedestrianising that area of the quayside? It's not a through route, it's a suntrap, there's plenty of pedestrians and bars/restaurants, the quayside. It's a good fit and closing to cars (except for access) means there's more room for outside seating, parents can take kids down etc The section from the railway to Quines corner is obviously unrealistic as the main bus route and a relatively busy road.

There's no real issue. It's the way the clown is claiming to have reinvented the wheel that most people have an issue with. The Quay was even busy with outside drinkers back in the 90's with two way traffic and coal boats unloading opposite. It's nothing new. But Bentley thinks it is.

There is no way he would do that as it would show just how empty the place is outside of peak times when it’s been just as busy for the last 50 years. It’s perplexing how some people hang on to trying to fool the public about things they’ve got involved with.

Aye, there was many a time that Rodney Kennish was compromised between unloading the coal boat and the Smoke Room (?) in the British! Those were the days. And real characters too.
