Dirty Buggane
Can we not fuck the non resident offenders off across with a life time ban. At least it will not cost sqillions to keep them in the holiday camp of prison life compared to prisons on the mainland and or release them in Foxdale with a mute a butter knife and the advice run if you value your life. 😁
piebaps
No, in a word. The maximum period of an order is 5 years. Edited June 21 by piebaps

Dirty Buggane
Yeah there going to say where they really live, being so honest. Along with the new 5 being sentenced if they keep it up there will be plenty of rental's on the market, may solve the housing crisis yet. Albert Tatlock
Average cost to house prisoner in 2022 was £80K per year....and given 2 years of high inflation, God only knows what the 2024 figure will have reached.

And how much extra for these confinement pods? The draconian sentencing and the new chiefs crusade against the failed war on drugs.....just job creation and dept budget retention. No impact will be made on the street level supply of drugs.

Fred the shred
The weird thing is draconian sentencing seems to be aimed solely at drug offenders there are people who have over claimed benefits and screwed the tax payers every week practically in the press and they get a tenner a week taken out of their benefits. In fact the tenner a week out of benefits seems to be the popular result for most crimes these days.
