You're right, they are. Personally I think it would actually be worth IOMG throwing some funding their way, while also smoothing the bureaucracy of it all. But we'll no doubt spend the £5m on a new shed for the Peggy Boat or bespoke voice-activated Italian Coffee Machines for the new Liverpool Terminal. But when the current set up isn't working, is it worth giving it a go? I'm not suggesting throwing the entire reserves at the scheme, just a relatively small amount to get things moving. Are there small exploration companies with less of a record tha crogga? Do the large oil companies never dispatch smaller companies working infer their banner? Or are they always freelance? Yes they subcontract some aspects like drilling but I reckon they do the exploration themselves as they don't want the risk of having to bid at auction for gas fields. I think Crogga are the usual snake oil salesman trying to eventually suckle at the govt teet, but if they have the financing let them carry out the exploration.
