We'd never get Lawrie agreeing to go on the Mannin Line. A programme hosted by some fella who merely takes some phone calls, reads out some messages and spins a few records sometimes.

The same Lawrie whose judgement had him backing the appeal against Ranson...?

I don't think he's qualified to question anybody's credentials.

I don’t know how he’s being allowed to conduct himself as he does.

Actually he is minister for smallest Department, about 3 million budget and 35 staff.

And every time anything significant happens in the health service, particularly if it’s not good, it’s nothing to do with him. I’m beginning to suspect that he is only actually responsible for the cleanliness of a toilet in the DHSS building, but he is unwilling to disclose which one.

The law book of the Banana Republic.

Well quite. That and weak leadership  that allows our representatives to piss around on social media all (£200 worth) day.

Use SM for information distribution for sure but this pantomime needs to stop and it needs to come from the CM.

That alone would restore some confidence.

And he’ll fight to the death to stop you from finding out and then tell you that there aren’t even any toilets in the health service.

In the 2023-24 Budget, most of it is Employee Costs (£3.3 million) plus Supplies & Services (£0.36 million).  The only other significant cost is for Agency & Contracted Services at £0.22 million) which is presumably for CQC inspections and the like.

I make that an average of £94,285 and a few pence each.
