By Christ, every man and his metal detector will be up there now trying to unearth a "mint condition, one-owner only" Bofors gun.

They already do. 1000s of .303 cases (WW2 rifle and machine-gun bullets) everywhere up there.

If they did bury them, it wouldn't be for retrieval, just dumping. So probably wouldn't be package and protected, would just be lumps of rusted steel and rotten wood by now.

Oh jeez.

Ok. For all those living North of Ramsey, it's ok to say Down North....Happy.

When we live in a world where someone with a penis can be described as a woman the geographical description of where Ramsey is situate is neither here or nor there I would  suggest!

Ramsey definitely has more than one penis

There's supposedly a V12 Merlin engine (plus all sorts of other goodies) buried up at Jurby airfield.

IPV Flexgen is not a large company (3 employees):

https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/12071433/filing-history

Their offices are at their accountants.

Andreas airfield would be a good place to stick unsightly stuff - it is not very visible.

The gliding club will not be happy.

Assuming you are referring to the registered office which is often at accountants as they will maintain the statutory records for the company and where you would go to inspect them.

Because he is a director of 27 companies - most of them dissolved?

So what does this mean?

He's a shoo-in with IoMG HR if he applies for a Govt job.

Hard to say without looking at the Companies House filing records for each.

A company can be terminated through several ways.  For a dissolution or strike off, it is normally because it has no further purpose and that can be either by application by the company (confirming it has no further business,  assets or liabilities) or by the registrar, usually for non-filing of accounts and/or confirmation statement.  Liquidation is a formal process of closing a company by a liquidator.  The main difference between the two is that a dissolved company can be restored to the register, a liquidated company cannot.

That's a very high-level explanation and there will be more involved depending on the particular circumstances.

British Military.  Jurby and surrounds were used as a gunnery training school during WW2 and after remember.  Heard a few rumours of lots of 'leftovers' when they left that just got buried somewhere as it was a whole lot easier than transporting it back and re-inventory etc.

It happens surprisingly regularly; like when the US left Afghanistan and left all that equipment.  Or Landrovers etc just being dumped in the sea after deployment.

That's all they are - rumours. Bad ones at that

The disposal of surplus war materiel was not as environmentally-conscious back in the latter days of WW2 as it is now though. Look at the millions of tonnes of ammunition and explosives that were sea-dumped in the Beaufort Dyke, for instance. The scuttling of the surrendered U-boat fleet off Londonderry.

It's not difficult to see that just burying stuff on a convenient area would have been an acceptable practice back then.

Ms Gladys is correct, as usual. IPV Flexgen's offices are at 24 Warwick New Road, Leamington Spa, CV32 5J, which is a serviced office building - they share offices with the British Limousin Cattle Society.

JESSAMINE, Edmund Damien, with 27 directorships in minor companies mostly in the green/solar industry, and mostly dissolved.

BELL, Arthur Herbert, (29 directorships) is another name that turns up in companies associated with Jessamine, and he has the same kind of c.v.

Jessamine's LinkedIn account is here:

https://uk.linkedin.com/in/ed-jessamine-0a6335123?trk=org-employees

The "large industry" type photo is a crop of the image used by https://www.rankeilour.com/

Their image is named as a shutterstock image, but Jessamine's is not.

The website shows "IPV Flexgen have over 12 years’ experience in developing renewable energy projects". The company was started in 2019.

"IPV Flexgen are award-winning renewable energy design and development consultants", but they are a bit shy about which awards they have won.

The three case studies they quote are either pre-construction or in-planning.

Well, call me cynical but I do not feel to enthusiastic about this proposed venture (other than using Andreas airfield).

Everyone has to start somewhere, but Jessamine seems to have made plenty of starts elsewhere.
