Kopek
But is he? Did he seek out child photos. 50 or so amongst a thousand or so \pornhub images??? How did the police detect his import of a sex doll or was this consequence to monitoring for his online activity??? The defence rests! Kopek
Sometimes it's easier to plead 'guilty' than fight a charge one might not agree with??? Ity's a problem with our court system, not just in cases like this!

He'd presumably printed them. By accident?

Hopefully he'll learn his lesson from it. Except it probably isn't the COPINE scale. We have this every time one of theses cases turns up: if it's the 1-5 ranked scale that usually seems to be used in the Manx courts, the numbers mean different things (SAP Scale). All explained in this Wiki article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/COPINE_scale Though, as also explained in the above, even that SAP Scale has been superseded for nearly a decade in the English courts. It's just amateurishness on the part of the Police and media, getting something wrong and just repeating it because they are too lazy or arrogant to get it right. 1

With the benefit of hindsight his views on electronic tagging expressed in this YouTube link are fairly ironic. Clearly someone who should be electronically tagged on release. https://fearandloathing2021.wixsite.com/website/post/accidental-partridge-take-iii

Is it the police, the courts or some other authority?

Alternately he may have pleaded guilty because he was guilty, far out concept I know.
Gladys
Does anyone know the actual scale applied? If the SAP Scale, level 2 is not 'low level'. If the Copine scale it is hard to understand the offence unless there are other factors. Perhaps the postal issue gave the level 2 evidence a different complexion. It’s the copine scale the police, prosecution and courts work to hear. Heavens knows why. The press reporting is accurate. 54 minutes ago, Gladys said: Yep, I read Roger's link. E.g. the images were saved in a folder alongside regular porn.
