Communication today is very poor so far and doesn’t do anything to appease the grumpy people who can’t get pleasure from the place being busy enough to sustain pop ups and extended opening for hospitality places. How was communication poor? The roads due to close at 12.30pm that's what time they closed at. If things changed there would have been an update

Perhaps to appease the people we should utilise the mobile phone network so everyone gets a text. Those without mobiles, maybe a call to everyone’s landline? Perhaps an aircraft flying overhead with a banner for those who don’t have a mobile or landline- loudspeakers around the island in case you’re blind?

Do they want a personal telephone call? Don't know what more they're supposed to do ! They said roads are closing at 12.30pm. If they haven't said otherwise, then they're still closing at 12.30pm!

Yes the MGP is a ‘beginners’ race and feeder for the TT, which has a good following. The classic TT gets a lot of visitors, particularly with the big names riders. 2 awesome events that, when combined, produce a very successful event with shared organisation and a huge amount of income for the island. I had to leave the island last night for a week in the UK and there were hundreds of bikes at Heysham queuing for the boat, and hundreds got off the Manxman when it docked. This helps support tourism, hospitality, accommodation, retail, etc. the revenue it brings in is worth the start money for the big names IMHO. So if we pay start money and a rider wins (finishes in the money), they get a winners cash prize as well?

In previous years, especially at this time of the year, certain races were cancelled or shortened, due to time constraints.
